DETAILS
Join us for an evening of community conversations and local foods around The Rooted Table, a free, community farm to street dinner supporting Project Rooted's mission of Connecting Kids to Real Food, from the Ground Up. The Rooted Table will feature a six-course menu designed and prepared by local chefs using what is most fresh, seasonal, or locally-grown by our farmers. The dinner for more than 300 guests of all ages will be served at a single, harvest table set in the Washington Neighborhood, located in front of the Washington Garden. In partnership with Iowa State University Extension & Outreach, we will be offering a unique educational experience for children ages 5-18 years of age in the Rooted Kid Zone. All guests age 21+ are welcome to bring a bottle of wine to enjoy with your meal, and/or a wine to share with your table. Beer & Liquor will not be permitted on site. Tickets are complimentary, however, if you are financially able to contribute we encourage you to purchase a ticket to sponsor another family attending.
